Truth can be a problematic thing, especially when one is trying to get around it.
What am I talking about?
It would be more correct to ask, “Whose truth are we talking about?”
Allow me to illustrate it this way.
If someone is deceived, how will they know it?
If a nation is deceived, how will they overcome it?
In reality, there can only be one truth.
That is where the problem arises when a concerted effort is underway to establish a new truth. Enter, at this point:
These are the tools of the trade used to move a people from the absolute truth to accepting the “new truth” that will embrace new morality, new behavioral norms and a new perception of human value. This in reality is nothing more than the old “calling evil good and good evil.”
There are four foundational presuppositions that must be embraced in understanding what is happening in western culture.
1. There must be a Kingdom of God perspective not a political party perspective of all the events that are happening. Your perception of what is happening must be viewed through wisdom that is from above, not the human perspective of a particular political persuasion.
2. Accept the reality there is a very real devil who rules a very real dark kingdom of demonic forces. He and his minions are actively seeking to over throw the Kingdom of God and have been since time the he was thrown out Heaven. Because there is a very real devil and very real demons there is also very real evil in the world perpetrated through very evil human beings.
3. The devil and his demonic forces use human beings to perpetrate their evil. He has used earthly nations and kingdoms for millennia in seeking to over throw the Kingdom of God by animating leaders and corrupting governments to accomplish his goals.
4. God’s Holy Word provides a true and accurate record of God’s Kingdom and the kingdom of darkness past, present and future. Therefore, it is the only true guide for understanding the current events and knowing what the child of God out to be doing and how to correctly respond. The Old Testament and the New Testament are relevant in determining correct morals, behavioral norms, and human worth.
Truth is as absolute as gravity; as certain as the law of thermodynamics; and as real as the law of cause and effect.
When you build your life on the principles and precepts of absolute truth, you build a life that solid, secure and bountiful. How vastly different from the anxiety filled, insecure, vaporious life of the pop culture.
Jesus said during His Sermon on the Mount, “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.” (The New King James Version. (1982). (Mt 7:24–27). Nashville: Thomas Nelson.)
Truth is not a problem for those who accept the reality of an absolute standard of truth by which all other “truth” is measured.
They refuse to be intimidated by political correctness; are not cowered by the tolerance rhetoric; and will not embrace the rewrite constantly broadcast over the media and education systems.
Post modernism is a miserable failure.
It leaves this generation floundering for true identity. It distorts the worth and value of every human being. It destroys the family removing the foundation for future generations.
This is the glorious moment for the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Truth has been vouch safe in our hands.
We must throw off the cultural garments of relativism, pragmatism and humans; strongly resist the pressures of post-modernism and proclaim with boldness and certainty the truth that will set this generation free.
