If this post-modern and deconstructionist culture is right, and truth and morality are fluid, how do we build a strong foundation for our Christian life? If a foundation is fluid, it leads to insecurity and instability.
If we want a stable and strong foundation, we have to accept that truth is solid and static. It is unchanging.
So, how do we build a strong and stable foundation in a culture that is accepting the lie that truth is relative and morality is whatever you feel?
In Matthew 7:24-27, Jesus gave the parable of two houses: one was built on the sand and one was built on a rock. When the storms hit and the winds blew, the house built on the sand collapsed, but the house on the rock was stable.
We build a stable foundation in our life by building our lives on the truth of God’s Word.
There is no truth more solid that the Bible. God’s Word is unchanging, unchallenged, and forever established in the heavens. And God wants to build our life in stability and strength. But that only happens when there is a solid, sure foundation.
