November 5th: A Gateway, Not the Victory

Almighty God said to Moses and the Children of Israel, upon entering the Land of Promise, they were to defeat all their enemies and not allow one to remain in the land.
If any were allowed to remain, they would become a snare to them.
If they followed the Lord’s command to defeat all their enemies and not allow any to remain in the land, “God will keep you… He will love you and bless you… You shall be blessed above all people… The Lord will take away from you all sickness…” (Deuteronomy 7:12-15 MEV).
When Israel entered the land, they experienced a great victory at Jericho. That was only the beginning.
A humiliating defeat was suffered at Ai, then little by little they conquered city and after city, acquiring control of both the north and the south.
It took seven years.
An important principle is taught in this time frame. Jericho was not the victory. It was simply the entrance that set up the opportunity to acquire the victory.
Victory was possession of the entire land promised to the Children of Israel by Almighty God.
November 5, 2024 was not the victory.
It was a victory. It was not the victory. November 5th was simply the gateway by which victory is made possible.
The election of Donald J. Trump and the new majority in the U.S. Senate and Congress simply makes it possible for the citizens of the United States to hopefully avoid further destruction of our Constitutional Republic.
It provides the opportunity for reaffirming and strengthening of the liberties and freedoms that were established in our founding documents.
If we are to see the full measure of victory from November 5, 2024, Christians must fulfill their God-given responsibilities.
What are those responsibilities?
1. Pray
Really pray. It is time for the authentic disciples of Jesus Christ to humbly, passionately, and earnestly seek the face of the Lord.
Five or ten-minute prayers before work in the morning is not enough.
We must put on the armor of God and go to battle against the strongholds of darkness that have been built in our nation.
That will require what the New Testament church did when the Apostle Peter was in prison, “the church prayed to God without ceasing for him” (Acts 12:5 MEV).
The Apostle Paul wrote to the Thessalonians “Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing” (1Thessalonians 5:16-17 MEV).
2. Time for Spiritual Warfare
It is time for the disciple of Jesus to go to war. Nor a physical war but spiritual war against the powers of darkness and lies of Lucifer.
We have been far too passive and tolerant. That has brought about compromise, worldliness, and opened gateways for the enemy to enter the very house of the Lord.
“Blow the trumpet is Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain… Therefore, also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil” (Joel 2:1, 12-13 KJV).
Ephesians 6:10-12; 2 Corinthians 10:3-5; 2 Timothy 2:3-4
3. Fast
When Jesus came down from the Mount of Transfiguration and cast the demon out of the boy, His disciples inquired, “Why couldn’t we do that?” Jesus’ answer was challenging just as it today.
“Because of your unbelief. For truly I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. And nothing will be impossible for you. But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting” (Matthew 16:20-21 MEV) [my emphasis].
This spiritual discipline has been downplayed and even mocked as being some ascetic legalistic practice.
Jesus made it clear: There are demonic strongholds and forces that will not be defeated without a combination of prayer and fasting.
Fasting is not to convince God of how important an issue or make Him listen to you.
Fasting is personal alignment with God. We deny natural body appetites to awaken our spiritual senses in greater measure to Holy Spirit and His working in our life.
There are things we do not know how to pray and He will make intercession for us (Romans 8:26-27).
4. Hold Our New Leaders Accountable
It is not enough to elect new leaders that seem to hold the same values and principles we hold dear.
We must hold them accountable to follow through in Washington DC with the promises of the campaign trail.
We must insist they protect the Constitution and stop the encroachment of the socialist-communist agenda; protect the pre-born child; stop child transition medication and surgery; restore strong boarders; and reaffirm traditional education from K-12 to university.
5. Love Truth
Jesus prayed to Heavenly Father, “I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth” (John 17:13-17 NKJV).
He told the disciples, “If you abide in my word, you are My disciples indeed: And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:31-32 NKJV).
We now have four generations educated in a post-modern deconstruction ideology that teaches truth is not only relative, but there is no true reality.
Truth is what the individual chooses to believe. Jesus said there is an established body of truth.
Jude wrote urging disciples to “earnestly contend” for the body of truth that has been entrusted to the Church (Jude 3).
The Apostle warned the time would come when people would not “receive the love of the truth” (2 Thessalonians 2:10).
This would open the gateway for a spirit of “strong delusion.”
The culture has moved from believing lies and deception to believing distortion. What is commonly called science is actually man-made distortion. Slowly a spirit of delusion is creeping under the door.
The world’s love for evil is embracing distortion and welcoming delusion.
Disciples of Jesus Christ must fall in love with truth and boldly stand in opposition to the lies. We must not be tolerant to the distortion of human sexuality and the distortion of God’s truth now being proclaimed as “progressive Christianity.”
6. Passionately Seek Revival and Spiritual Awakening
Political power and position will not MAGA!
That which made America great, was her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
God has sovereignly chosen this time and season of political victory to also send a spiritual awakening to university campuses.
It is remarkably similar to the Charismatic Renewal which broke forth in 1967.
It launched at a retreat weekend of Duquesne University and spread to Notre Dame, then spread to Michigan State University.
At that same time God broke forth on the west coast when an Episcopal Priest, Dennis Bennett, and some of his church leaders were baptized in the Holy Spirit.[1]
Dear ones we must become passionately hungry for God to break into our routine and Sunday service schedule with His glory and power.
Allow Him work until His manifest presence becomes the purpose and passionate objective of every meeting; radically transforming lives and setting captives free.
God in His love and mercy has graciously given the USA one more opportunity to see this nation turn back to Him.
He is the founder and builder of the United States of America. He called and empowered William Bradford and the Pilgrims to establish the Plymouth Colony and to write the Mayflower Compact that established a covenant with Almighty God.
He moved John Winthrop in the founding of the Massachusetts Colony and Boston. Before Winthrop disembarked the ship he spoke to the colonists a message entitled, “A City Upon a Hill”, in which he said, “[It would be] a service to the church of great consequence to carry the Gospel into those parts of the world… and who knows but that God hath provided this place to be a refuge for many whom He means to save out of the general calamity.”
I believe God desires to do it one more time.
He wants to awaken the true disciples of Jesus Christ to spiritual fervor that brings about a spiritual awakening across the land.
That will truly make America great again, because her heart is great and her love for God is great.
Then God’s favor and His blessings will flow abundantly.
