There are boundaries for our lives that give us security and safety; but when those boundary markers are removed, then there is no limit or safety barrier because everything is fluid and moving.
This is what we are seeing in our culture today.
Post-modernism and deconstructionism are based on the belief that everything is fluid and moving; there is no absolute truth and now our safety barrier is removed.
Truth has become fluid; reality has become fluid and now everything that gives foundation, stability to our lives, culture, and community is fluid and moving. We are building on sand and everyone is at risk because there are no absolute standards and values by which we build life.
How can disciples of Jesus Christ remain strong in a culture built on shifting sand?
That is what I address in today’s podcast.
