Jesus promised us that in this life we’d have adversity; but He didn’t say that having adversity would affect living the blessed life.
The problem comes when we begin thinking that our adversity is our identity.
Jesus wants to give you a whole new identity. “If anyone be in Christ he is a new creation. Old things have passed away and behold all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17
Your identity is wrapped up in Jesus, not the experiences of your life.
We begin living this fully when we do what Paul said: renewing our mind; and that is what I’m talking about in today’s podcast.
