Have you had experiences like I have, where you meet people who think God is just a mean and angry God?
They point to stories in the Old Testament like the flood, when God destroyed everything on planet earth except Noah and his family and 2 of every kind of animal.
Or they refer to times in the Bible when God commanded the Israelites to capture a city and destroy everyone in it.
But there are stories in the Bible that they tend to miss.
God picks a prostitute to be in the bloodline of our Lord, Jesus makes a special trip to bring a woman who has lived a broken life, and an openly sinful woman is thrown at his feet He brings justification instead of judgement.
God wants us to have it clear in our heart and mind that He is a God of righteousness and justice who must punish sin, but He is also a God of love and mercy and grace.
Like two sides of same coin.
God desires for us to live the blessed life, not under the curse. We live under the curse only because we choose to live in sin rather than righteousness!
