It’s Time For the Church to Awaken and Go to War

The Apostle Paul wrote to the believers in Corinth that disciples of Jesus Christ are warriors in a cosmic war for the Kingdom of God.
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled”.
2 Corinthians 10:3-6 NKJV
He also wrote to the disciples in Ephesus,
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand”.
Ephesians 6:10-13 NKJV
This is not a war with bombs and bullets, or rockets and tanks but a spiritual war against powers of darkness battling for the minds, emotions, and the will of human beings.
It is a war for the souls of mankind. God has given spiritual weapons that are mighty by His power to fight these powers of darkness and to win the victory.
The disciples of Jesus Christ have been sleepy and passive, believing this generation is too educated to believe in a real devil, with real demons seeking to destroy a person.
The devil and demons have been masterfully made into movie images or cartoon characters.
Three generations of son and daughters have grown up being entertained with these images without realizing they have allowed very real enemy forces into their lives.
While the children have been entertained with the movies and cartoons of enemy forces, literature, music, and classrooms have systematically filled their minds with the lies, distortions, and worldview of Lucifer.
It is time for every disciple of Jesus Christ to wake up spiritually and realize we are in a war for our souls and for the souls of our sons and daughters. That war is being waged in every movie you and your family go see.
It is waged in every television program, on TikTok and Instagram, in every public-school classroom and on every university campus.
It is being waged in the workplace and in the marketplace. It is a war of culture, ideology, philosophy, and reasoning. It is war of human sexuality, origin of life, and the value of human life from conception to the grave.
It is a war of ideas and words being waged on the news broadcasts, talk shows, podcasts, and in the pop culture. It is a war that has moved from a call for tolerance to a very demanding “cancel culture.”
This war has even moved into the pulpits of Evangelical and Pentecostal churches who have come under the spell of the siren song of the “woke.”
You Have a Powerful Weapon
We will not be intimated or hesitant. God has given us the weapons necessary to win this war. Those weapons are “mighty in God for pulling down strongholds and casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.”
We desperately need these weapons in the war against Critical Social Justice, Black Lives Matter, Critical Race Theory/Intersectionality, LGBTQ+, abortion, and infanticide.
Your greatest weapon against these forces that subtly war for your mind, emotions, volition, and spirit, and for those of your sons and daughters is your upper room.
Like Daniel, go there and fight the forces of darkness ruling a pagan humanistic cancel culture. Refuse to remain passive and feeling defeated. Refuse to get caught up in the anger of the “talking heads.”
Fight this war on your knees and in your heart.
Remember, you do not war with weapons of the flesh or with your intellect only. “For the weapons of our warfare… [are] mighty through God for pulling down strongholds” (2Corinthians 10:4).
Jesus gave a strong assurance that we fight from a vantage point of victory. Matthew 16:18-19,
Jesus assured us He has given us the keys to open and plunder every gate of hell. John 14:12-13, He said we have ability to do the same works He did because He has given us the authority to pray in His name, with the assurance He will answer. Mark 16:17-18,
Jesus affirmed again, His promise we will do His work through the power of His name.
Jesus boldly assured we have authority from Heaven over the forces of darkness and hell, when He said, “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurts you” Luke 10:19 NKJV).
Every area of darkness; every powerful force of the enemy; every lie, distortion, and ideology of the enemy; are subject to the authority of Heaven. You are never at the mercy of the enemy and his power. In the name of Jesus Christ and His authority you have power over the Devil and his demons.
You take up serpents, and you take down strongholds.
How Do You Use This Mighty Weapon of Intercession?1.
1. Put on the armor of God every day.
Literally, while dressing each day, verbally put on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the preparation of the Gospel of peace, raise up the shield of faith above your head, put on the helmet of salvation, and take up the sword of the spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:10-17).
2. Enter your prayer closet every day and pray in the strength and power of the Holy Spirit.
Pray in the Holy Spirit throughout the day. Romans 8:26-27 explains the power of praying in the Holy Spirit. He knows the mind and the will of Heavenly Father, and He will take us into moments of deep earnest prayer that our human tongue cannot speak in its own strength.
Holy Spirit will pray through you giving you the right words to say that are in accordance with God’s will and sometimes He will pray with groanings and deep agony that are natural words cannot express.
You need to get in your upper room and take down the strongholds being built by the enemy in the minds, emotions, volition and flesh of your sons and daughters, your grandsons and granddaughters.
Bind the demonic strongman that is at work in their heart and life. Cast down the imaginations they have allowed the deceptive and distorting spirits to create. Bring every thought captive and into the obedience of Jesus Christ and God’s Holy Word.
Your need to do this same battle in your own heart and life.
Ask Holy Spirit to give you the strength to walk in obedience to God and His Word. Allow Holy Spirit to shine the light of the Word upon areas of your life that are currently in disobedience so you can humble yourself before the Lord, ask His forgiveness, and receive the grace to change them.
Pray for your school board, superintendent, principles, and teachers. Take authority in Jesus’ name for the curriculum and the teachers to teach truth, justice, and righteousness.
Pray for your Pastor to boldly preach the truth of God’s Word. Ask God to give Him the strength to preach with love, mercy, and grace, but boldly preach the truth of the Word without compromise in this demonic cancel culture.
It is time to waken and go to war.
